Commissioning portrait photography is a great investment into your family, friends, and yourself. My hope is that the experience of a professional photoshoot is every bit as rewarding as the images themselves. The products and services I offer are of the highest quality, and I approach each shoot as if you were commissioning a piece of fine artwork. You may purchase items like prints, albums, and slideshows a la carte or as a package. Portrait packages begin at $345 and offer a bit of a discount from the a la carte prices listed below. Consultations
Consultations are free and can be done at my place or yours, but I highly suggest we meet to plan a shoot. I have found that building a relationship prior to a shoot improves not just your pictures but your experience as well. A consultation gives us a chance to fully customize a shoot, and in some cases negotiate my fee. Every shoot is unique.

- 55.5¢ per mile for shoots outside of San Francisco, Sonoma, Napa, or Marin Counties
Archival Pigment Prints
I believe that photographs are ultimately works on paper. So one of the most important aspects of my business is making prints for my clients to display in their homes. Archival Pigment Prints, which are quickly becoming the standard for expert photographic print-makers, can be made using a wide range of fine art papers or even alternative substrates like metal. This versatility enables these prints to fit the preferences of both the traditional and contemporary eye. I personally make each print rather than outsourcing to a lab, which keeps costs down and ensures that each image expresses the artistic integrity my clients expect. Retouching is included.

Platinum Prints
Invented in the late 19th century, Platinum Prints also known as Platinotypes, are made with the precious metals platinum and palladium. This chemical printing process produces a print that is by many accounts the most beautiful one can make. They yield an unmatched monochrome tonal range, texture, and archival stability.Very few photographers still have the skill to print in platinum so this unique process is perfect for a special bride, mother-to-be, or loved one.

Multimedia Slideshows
After your shoot, I take all the photos and video we made and animate them into a slideshow. This slideshow is synced to music and can include text and even your voice if you would like. These are great for sharing an entire portrait session or event with friends and family. The slideshow is burned to a DVD and presented in a custom made book. Click here for examples.
- $145 per slideshow on USB drive
- $295 per slideshow and custom DVD Presentation Book
Albums
With photographs, each print one makes is an original work of art, not a reproduction. So the great thing about a book of photographs is that it’s an entire book of originals. This has increased the popularity of photo books in recent years. Albums are a great way to have a custom photo book of your own that will last a lifetime. My albums are printed and bound by expert bookmakers AsukaBook. They are hardcover books with customizable options like dust jackets, slipcovers, and personalized hot stamp text.

You may choose between having your images expertly retouched or not, and all printable images are high quality and free of watermarks. Images come in .jpg format, and are compatible with both Macs and PCs and are great for printing at home or your local printing lab.

Custom Framing
After you have ordered a print, I will work with you to develop a framing style that is right for your photograph as well as your personal preferences. I source the finest American made hardwood frames from Metropolitan, one of the country’s most respected manufacturers. I believe good custom framing is a detail that should be “seen and not heard” and is the final touch of any great photograph. A frame should flatter the image without distracting from it, and a framer should have the skill of a traditional craftsman with the eye of a contemporary artist.
- Prices vary based on factors like style, type of materials used, and dimensions.
- The average cost of framing is $100-200 per frame.
Make-Up Artist
I regularly work with a Make-Up Artist at the location of the shoot. Her services are included with Boudoir and Maternity Portrait Packages, but she is available for any style shoot you desire. Professional Make-Up Artist Kat Louis plays an integral part in insuring that my clients feel comfortable, confident, and beautiful. Her skill will enhance not only the look of your pictures, but your experience as well.
- $75 per person
Gift Certificates
I always do my best to work with clients who are on a tight budget to find them a package that they can afford. I have even been known to give a free shoot or two. However, there are still so many who would love to commission portraiture but simply can’t afford it. If you know someone like this, please consider buying a gift certificate for them.
- Any genre for $500, $1000, $2000
