“This is more of a statement than a question, but I just wanted to say that I am so excited for our wedding!” That’s awesome.  The one thing a great wedding needs more than anything is passion. There are very few things on this planet I am as passionate about as photography, and I can’t wait to share that passion with you.

“What do your packages include?”  My packages are totally flexible.  However, my standard package includes plenty of coverage, a high-end album, and a DVD of printable digital files among a few other odds and ends.

“Do you have liability insurance?” Yes. Lots of it.

“Do you guarantee your presence at my wedding and do you bring a second shooter?” I will always be the primary photographer at your wedding and I will always have a second shooter with me. That way you’ll have insurance that each moment will be captured and in the event I get struck by lightning, you’ll still have a highly skilled photographer to cover your wedding. In some cases, like city hall ceremonies or elopements, I don’t necessarily need a second shooter and will reduce my rates in those cases.

“Do you sometimes book yourself for more than one wedding in a day? Weekend?” Definitely only one. In fact, I usually limit myself to only about a dozen of the best weddings per year. The rest of my schedule is filled with my sought after portraiture and my gallery exhibited personal work. This way my brides feel more like they are commissioning photography from an artist rather than hiring a common retail studio.

“Do you charge hourly or full day?” Both. I charge per hour for many of my clients, but I have all-inclusive packages with as much wedding day or rehearsal dinner coverage as needed. I can also bill after the fact if you decide last minute you need more time.

“Do you charge for travel?” I charge 55 cents per mile round trip from my downtown Petaluma studio for weddings outside of Napa, Sonoma, or Marin counties. For example, it’s $50 to SF. So, not bad. However, I do ask for all expenses paid for overnight travel.

“How soon after the event are the proofs ready for viewing?” Within ONE DAY if you purchase an all inclusive package. Otherwise, it’s usually a couple weeks or so. I remember when I got married our photographer took months to get us the proofs. Which is actually pretty common.  I don’t want to be like that.

“In what format are the initial proofs offered?” Online proof gallery. Your proofs will be optimized for the screen and corrected for color, contrast, and be edited down to only the very best images from your wedding. You may download your proofs and keep and share them indefinitenly.

“Do you retain the copyright for the photos?” Of course.  But you will receive permissions to use the images for your own personal use as long as you don’t alter or sell them.

“I have so many more questions!” And I’d love to answer them.  Just contact me to schedule a free consultation.
