Wardrobe and Hair Stylists Wanted

I would like to announce that I am looking for a new wardrobe and a hair stylist.

I have a small handful of shoots a month at which I would like to provide my clients with stylists.  These shoots include styles like wedding portraits, boudoir, maternity, etc.  You should be experienced and easy to work with, available on location and in studio, and based in Sonoma, Napa, Marin, or San Francisco with reliable transportation, and able to work with men, women, and children alike.  Local fashion/clothing designers please apply, but first look at my portfolio and decide if your style works with mine, you may be able to market your designs to my clients.

If interested, please send me a message (it helps if you sound professional) that includes a link to your portfolio, a quick bio/resume, and your compensation requirements.  Local to Petaluma and a willingness to do one trade shoot to start is a plus but not required.  This is a ongoing paid gig.

Aqus Community Launch Party Portraits

I am so happy that I was able to contribute to the wildly successful Aqus Community Launch Party at Lydia’s Sunflower Center in Petaluma a couple weeks ago. I really enjoyed meeting some new friends and giving out some free portraits. The event has already started to pay off for my business. I was also able to raise some money for The Petaluma Art Center as well. A big thanks to Kjerstin on placing the winning silent auction bid!

“In December” Exhibition and Reception

Please join me when I host an artist’s reception for my new exhibition “In December.” This will be my first exhibition of photographs made completely in Sonoma County since moving here over a year ago.  Please bring your friends and family and help me share my work to a great local audience.

This work will be on display until the end of March with an Artist’s reception on Saturday, March 10th from 4-7 pm.

Aqus Community Launch Party And Silent Auction

On February 25th Aqus Cafe will be throwing a party to launch the new Aqus Community. This is a great organization that will help bring together Petaluma individuals, local businesses, and non-profits.

During the party, I’ll have a small studio set available all night for one free portrait to all attendees.  Also, you will be able to bid in a silent auction for a full custom portrait session of your own.  This portrait session is available in any genre you want including my specialties of family, couples, maternity, boudoir, or even equine portraits.    The portrait session up for bid will include a free consultation, 2 hours of shooting on location, at least 60 images, a multimedia slideshow on a USB drive, and a framed 8×10 inch print.  This session has a retail value of $635.  So this is a great way to get a discount or even to give generously to a local non-profit organization, because the best part is that all the profits from the auction will go to help support Petaluma Arts Center.

Group Shoot

On June 3rd I will be doing a group shoot for models and/or anyone looking for an economical way get a few professional pictures done.  This will be the first in a series of these shoots, so if you can’t make this one you’ll get another chance.  Probably once a month or so.

The idea comes from the many great local models we have here in the Bay Area.  For an aspiring model, an amazing portfolio is everything.  This is a way for you to get the professional images you need to build your portfolio, so you can start making money instead of shelling out hundreds of $$$ for a professional photog like myself.  So, teaming up and splitting my costs between four or five models makes it very economical.  This is also a great way to meet and network with other models and industry professionals, which is a great way to land that first big gig.  So, if this sounds like a good idea to you, send an email to nathan@nathanlarimer.com to sign up!

We will shoot for about 2-3 with four or five models, make-up artists Jessie Marie, Catia Luproni,  and Kelli Grech.

Style: Outdoor casual portraits, candids, and headshots (but I’m flexible to your needs and ideas)

One Day at Aqus Cafe
