About the Artist
Nathan Larimer is an artist specializing in fine art documentary photography, and he creates personal and commissioned work that is exhibited nationwide. He is particularly interested in how we interact with and value our environment for sustenance, sport and recreation, and even communication and ritual. A dedicated outdoorsman, he was raised in the Mid-West, went to college in the Deep South, and is now based in Petaluma, California. He has both a BFA and MFA in Photography from the Savannah College of Art and Design. Although his career could still be labeled as “emerging” he has a growing list of exhibitions, and in the spring of 2010 he published his first book of photographs entitled Imprint. Going forward, he hopes to have a fruitful career as an educator, thinker, and visual translator of any glimmer of beauty he is fortunate enough to capture.
